Our offer is mainly vegan and vegetarian with one suggestion for the flexitarian.
We want to introduce everyone to plant-based cuisine and not just those looking for it.
Of course, our ambition is to promote plant-based food. By letting people taste that it can be really tasty, without missing out on anything.
After all, until a few years ago, I was a true carnivore myself. I always preferred to eat vegetables, but meat, eggs and cheese were part of the equation. I myself had never believed I wouldn't miss it.
Why eat vegan or plant-based more often? Out of love for our planet and all its inhabitants.
Eating vegan is the easiest thing you can do yourself with a positive impact on the environment and climate.
You can shower shorter, install solar panels, sort waste, shop packaging-free and drive electric. But all these important and necessary adjustments suddenly don't mean so much when you realise the huge impact of livestock on our planet.
- Our livestock is responsible for about 24% of the greenhouse effect. In comparison, all modes of transport together contribute 14% to the greenhouse effect.
- To produce 1 hamburger made of 100 grams of beef, 1500 litres of water is needed. The water consumption of about 25 showers. In comparison, 100g of chicken requires 340 litres of water , 100g of cucumber requires 35 litres of water and 100g of avocado requires 200 litres of water.
- Livestock is largely responsible for the thinning of the Amazon forest as this land is used to grow fodder.
- Livestock farming contributes to ocean pollution as manure enters the water supply, reaching the oceans.
- Livestock farming is responsible for the disappearance of many species of animals/plants/insects .
- Cows produce about 550 billion litres of methane a day (yes, these are farts). Methane is 80 times more harmful than CO2.
